What is the packaging with the modified atmosphere method? Everyone knows that food does not always stay fresh. The milk becomes sour, the bread becomes moldy, the meat turns brown and smells. Many factors cause food corruption. Oxygen in the air can cause a process of malfunction called oxidation. For example, fats and oils in foods can oxidize and disintegrate it. One of the main reasons for the deterioration of food products is the growth of microbes such as bacteria, yeasts, and mildew. These microbes feed on and grow on foods and cause it to deteriorate. The appearance of food products can be changed over time due to air exposure. For example, fresh red meat becomes brown after a while because of the chemical interaction between oxygen and pigments in its tissues. There are different methods for reducing the speed of these spoilage processes and keeping the food products safe from these destructive cases, one of which can be in the refrigeration, because the lower the temperature, the faster the germs grow it comes down, and other methods include acid storage, the salt cooking process, or the addition of chemical preservatives. However, keeping the foods as much as possible and without additive is now considered as a major challenge, which is one of the most important means of achieving this goal, packaging of food products inside containers using sewing (seal) is a film on its openings, of course the packaging comes with a mixture of natural gases with precise controlled proportions, the result can substantially lower the perishability speed by inhibiting the oxidation process and growth of germs. Inherently, this type of packaging is done by modified atmosphere, the atmosphere which food is packaged is improved, thus reducing the spoilage significantly and ultimately increasing the durability of the product. The type and ratio of the gas composition used in the packaging is largely related to the type of food product in the package and the type of spoilage associated with it or the behavioral changes of the food material. In order to package a product with modified atmosphere method, advanced machines are needed to draw air out of the package and instead replace it with a precise gas composition, And finally, by sewing a film on the mouth of the container (seal), to cause only our gas composition to be included in the package with the product and also to prevent the presence of other gases in it.
